Oh, this has been the longest stretch since updating...mood here....not so pleasant...

Ok, awhile back I think I mentioned that my family kind of went towards letting us more freedom of doing stuff, mainly my sister goes out every night. Well, forget that...Dead wrong for sure. After dinner with the Pham family, my sister brought over Scott. I think that it was the first time that my parents got a glimpse of Scott, and my first too. I was talking with Eric about stuff and everything seemed ok with Scott being around. But turns midnight, Eric and his family's gone, sister comes home from her usual late night hangouts, and it gets pretty ugly behind me while I was playing Starcraft. I can't mention everything that went down because it shook me up a lot and it'll probably bother you guys as well. It's going to suck at home now...I don't know when it will get better...

Ummm...nothing much going on. I had to prick myself in the finger to draw out blood to find out my blood type. Sherry, one of my lab group member, couldn't watch me self-multilate. And another part, I never really had anything go into me that I've done by myself. So, I was nervous about using sharp instruments and an instructor encouraging us to go draw blood. After the second stab into my finger, I was finally able to go deep enough to spill a little blood out onto a transparency. That lab sucked. Coming back, Milton and Justin were watching "Office Space." I never seen it before, and it was pretty hilarious. So, right now...it's Calculus...damn...

Argh...my mom...

Alright, the story of it all. Cal Poly sets when you get to register based on one's last name. Fall quarter I got first priority in my registration. Since things rotate from quarter to quarter, I wound up registering dead last this quarter. Basically, when it came around my time to register, all of my major, support, and GE classes were filled up. So, that means I have to talk to the advisors about it to see what I can do. So, my parents called me and I told them about this situation. My dad was cool with it, but my mom got extremely worried. My mom calls me again and totally just blamed the whole thing on me saying that I registered late and that I was just being a lazy ass. I explained everything, but I believe that they think that I was just late. Argh!

Sometimes things in life happens that you just don't understand why it is that way. And whenever that problem occurs, people demand that it be fixed in a minute. The fact of the matter is that things take time, and with time, misunderstandings presents a solution. Also, nothing is ever easy as it looks. I wished that my parents could feel how I feel sometimes. They'd understand that I'm just as scared as them, that I'm scared of losing this opportunity of staying here. I'm so pressured right now...

What?! It's been Friday since I last updated?! Well, honestly, I don't really remember much of the weekend. Pretty funny yesterday hanging out with Justin and seeing him struggling to keep up with all the AIM screens that he held up. Also, some of the side comments that he does...I can't mention any of them, though. Also, I already got a Christmas gift for somebody. It came in yesterday, and it's pretty sweet.

Oh yeah, the weekend is coming back to me. So, after Justin, I went to Cisco's and Willy's to get some pizza pie, play pool at the UU, and played Starcraft and watch Dragonball GT. Yeah, I think I was up until 4 am last night, it was freezing waking back to my dorm room. Surprisingly, Milton was still up at 4:30 am. So, pretty much both of us woke up at 3 pm today. This means I got to get studying right now...

Last note: I got Korn's "Take A Look in the Mirror" Album. Korn definitely gone back to their roots in the first and second album. Yeah, I got to go study now, hopefully I can get back soon enough to catch...Lladira...Tara...Dinah...and others online...

That reminds me, haven't talked to Allen in such a long time. Where's the foo at? I got to make coming home for Thanksgiving as sweet as possible...

Haha! I love Lladira! My hands are coming for you!!!!

Again, I must emphasize that it is pretty sweet not having an English class to go to at 5:00 pm. So, basically while everyone else has afternoon class, I'm practicing pool in the Muir lounge. Gina, a classmate in my Biology lecture and lab, comes by and challenges me to 9-ball. We rarely talk to each other, but today we got to talk about a lot of things while we were constantly scratching the cue ball. But, it gets glorious. Her friend Diana comes by. (Yeah, she's pretty cute) After Gina left, I kind of coached Diana on what to do to make the balls in because this was her first time playing. (Nah, I didn't do the whole guiding her hands by me positioning them type of thing...if any of you guys were thinking about that) So, we got into it and then she asked what my nationality was. I told her that I was Vietnamese, and it turns out that she's half Vietamese, from Seattle. Total sweetness there! And she lives in Muir also! Yeah! So, to end the night, she was there in the study lounge, and we said goodnight to one another, nice smile by her...ok, that's enough from me...

(bitting knuckles)

French Computers

A language instructor was explaining to her class that in French, nouns unlike their English counterparts, are grammatically designated as masculine or feminine.

"House," in French, is feminine-"la mansion."

"Pencil," in French, is masculine - "le crayon."

One puzzled student asked, "...What gender is computer?..."

The teacher did not know, and the word wasn't in her French dictionary.

So for fun she split the class into two groups appropriately enough, by gender, and asked them to decide whether "computer" should be a masculine or feminine noun. Both groups were required to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The men's group decided that computers should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computer"), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your pay check on accessories for it.

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine ("le computer"), because:

1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data but they are still clueless;

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems but half the time they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you'd waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

Haha!

The End of the World!

Man, lying down felt good....too good. Totally slept right now for a decent hour or so. Now, I feel like sleeping again. But, I got stuff to do, and I was hoping that entry would get me going again. It's working, time to get my laundry.

In our biology lab, we discovered the chromosome 16 in our DNA strand to indicate generally the phenotypes of which parent that we most resembled. Turns out, I'm homogylous postive which means basically both parent's phenotypes are shown and neither one is dominant over the other.

Today I had to open for Red Dragon Wok where I needed to sort of cook food and get the place ready for customers at 10. Kind of a lot to ask me being that was the my first day at there. It was alright with handling the customers, but when you're the only one pretty much there the whole time and everyone wanted chicken which caused a shortage, it gets hectic. Also, things got busy, at 11 so I had to stick around until 11:15 to help them out because there were only two people working the Wok. Oh well, that's what I get...

I want to start up a LAN game with Willy tonight. It's perfect to play Starcraft now.

Sneak Peek!

Yeah, had a story cooked up in my mind! It's all part of plans of sorts, and don't be drawing any conclusions on who's the blank person! Remember that it isn't the full story, that's coming later. This just a fragment of it...

Chris stood up and walked a few steps away from the red picnic blanket onto the beach, headed towards the crashing waves. _______ stood up to walk beside Chris to gaze at what Chris saw. Both stood seeing the golden sun setting on the ocean’s horizon. The water sparkled magnificently, reflecting the rippled image of the sun. “It was a nice day for a picnic,” said _______.
“I’m glad that you came to share this day with me,” smiled Chris.
_______ stood looking at Chris for a moment puzzled by the fact that she never heard of Chris inviting her to come to the beach. She looked around and noticed that only Chris and herself stood on the beach and only Chris’s car parked in the lot beyond the grassy sand dunes. “How did I get here?” _______ asked.
“I don’t know actually,” said Chris. “I was just writing in my journal at the end of the pier, so I didn’t really notice how you got here. I was just afraid that I would be the only one here at dawn. It gets kind of creepy.”
_______ giggled a little. “Well, thanks for the picnic on the beach and everything, I really enjoyed it,” she said. “I really need to head back home now. Can you give me a ride?”
“Of course,” said Chris. “But, I had one more thing that I wanted to talk to you about here.”
______ looked at Chris wondering what he had on his mind. Chris looked down and gave a sigh. Then, he looked at _______. “For the longest time I’ve been keeping this in because I was afraid of what it might mean to us.”
“What is it?” asked _______.
Chris grabbed both of _______’s hands and held it up to his chest. _______’s eyes widened. “What is Chris doing?” _______ thought. She never been in this situation with him before.
“I couldn’t hold this back without letting you know,” said Chris. He paused to collect his thoughts. “I’m falling in love with you.”
“What?!” thought _______. She began breathing harder. She never expected this out of Chris.
“I don’t know, it’s just…” Chris took in another breath. “You’re the most caring and loveable person that I ever met.” Chris slowly took _______’s hands and placed them on his shoulder. Then, he placed his arms around her waist. “I just want to be with you, like this. We can share our happiness together. We can do a lot of things together. I’ll love you with all my heart if you give me a chance.”
“Oh my god! He’s serious!” raced the thought in _______’s head. She could not think or know what to say to Chris. Never has she been in this situation before. “Say something to him, _______!” suggested _______’s mind. Still, she could not utter a word.
Chris looked at _______’s expression. She still stared at him, breathing heavily, and not speaking. “Hmmm…I knew it was a bad idea,” thought Chris as his face sunk into depression. Rather than hearing the inevitable, he decided to head back to his car. _______ could feel Chris slipping away from her hands. She watched as Chris already had his back turned and started walking to his car. “Chris…” said ______ softly.
Chris did not respond.
“Wait, Chris!” shouted _______.
Chris continued his path over the sand dunes.
“Don’t go! Please wait!” ______ shouted frantically. She tried running to Chris, but she could move for some strange reason. “Chris!!!” shouted _______ as she saw Chris far off in the distance.

I figured out the problem to my internet. For the longest time I couldn't get on for some reason, yet AIM worked. So, I decided to go to the Add/Remove program folder and delete some unnecessary programs. I ran into too that were installed automatically by pop up advertising, and, you all know, I can post on blogger now. Anybody that knows how to get a good pop-up suppressor, give me any brand.

Anyway, yesterday I was playing Starcraft for three hours straight. Basically, Cisco, Willy, and Jason had a LAN game going on, so I played until about 11:00 pm last night and didn't study at all. But, I made up for it. I didn't go to bed until 2 am.

It's pretty sweet not having to go to English all this week, pretty much I'm done at the latest at 3 pm. Then I'm free to do a lot of stuff. So, with the time off, how about doing plan 12/25? I love them wish lists from the ladies...

Sunday, November 16, 2003

Strange. I just got back from Cisco and Willy's and Sheryl IMs a goodnight, but it was unusual. I have to talk to her if I get the chance...

I forgive ya...np...

I woke up at 3 pm today, after staying up until 5 am last night. Nothing like watching and downloading the entire series of Dragonball Z. Cisco, Willy and I were watching some of the Freeza saga, we still haven't finished despite starting at like 9 last night.

Yesterday, to celebrate my dad's birthday, we went to Apple Farm. Ah man, I think I've been eating college food too long, the tri-tips there was good! My family and I spent a good 4 hours with each other. Afterwards, the darkness and damp streets set the mood of the night when they had to leave. I think I felt the sadness pain in their minds that they had to leave me here and there were only 3 of the four going home. I don't know, it was the first time since the first night at Cal Poly that I felt that feeling. Haven't ate anything yet, it's time to microwave something...

Man, I'm now pressured...my parents are coming up to celebrate my dad's 52nd birthday. Eeek...I have to deal with a printer that doesn't print color ink I believe, and I have to find a nice restaurant downtown. This whole midterm week got me detached from my family. My head didn't register that my dad's birthday was coming up, unitl my mom reminded me like at 9 pm or something. Somebody remind me to make my dad a birthday card tomorrow (or today). AIM me, please...

Ha! I got Windows 98 for my old computer here.

This thing is so outdated, but mIRC had want I needed, but my C drive is running low on disk space and stuff...but, still I'm estatic, if I had a new computer, I'll get Windows XP no problem...even Windows Server 2003...

Where's Cisco at?

Wednesday, November 12, 2003

How did I get down to one meal plan left? Dammit, and only 15 dollars of Plus dollars. Oh well, I think I'm stocked up with stuff...hopefully it'll last...

Got studying to do now (sigh...)

Yo...

Probably I haven't been updating because one, school work is piling up and basically tomorrow and Friday are important test dates for my classes. Another thing, I think I'm getting obsessed with this program mIRC. It's so (sic), it's not even funny. Anyway, lots of plans indeed. I just got to set them in motion. Got to love racquetball, I miss Lladira, Cisco downloading the Dragonball series from start to finish, and a beautiful/ok grade on my Bio Lab grade pretty much sums things up.

Monday, November 10, 2003

Total sweetness! The lab for my Bio 151 got cancelled today so I got 3 hours off. Yay! So, it makes for a relaxing Monday to Tuesday because I only got English left to go and we're watching Breakfast at Tiffany's. I kind of like that movie...so I think I'll buy some popcorn and distribute them to the class today. Hehe, so yeah, I wished that I could go home for the weekend this weekend, and stay until Tuesday, but I had important Math and Biology lectures for a midterm coming up on Friday for both classes back to back. Total blahness. So again, I'm going to get extremely nervous on Thursday.

Nothing like brownies and milk yesterday, eh Rachel?! Haha!

Oh yeah, don't say the word "laundry" around me...

Sunday, November 09, 2003

I don't really know what to say right now, I've been in my dorm room most of the day mainly doing laundry and going to Willy and Cisco's dorm to get the detergent that I ran out today. So, basically I'm just chatting with people until my laundry is done which I think I started at 3:30 mainly because I got up at 12 today and listened to heavy music until 3:30. And basically laundry has been expensive because it's been piling up for almost two week. I've just been lazy or something...

So, yesterday I went with the gang to see Matrix Revolutions. Probably it would have been better if Reloaded and Revolutions were put together in one movie. Because, I didn't think that Revolutions met the audience liking because it totally lacked areas that Reloaded and the first one accomplished. But, you just have to see it, basically to find out how it all turns out.

Other things happened, I don't really want to get to at this moment, I'm going to dinner now...that sounds nice...

Saturday, November 08, 2003

I hate Willy's mouse....hi tech...blah...made me erase the entry that I was going on...

So today, I became a certified Asian blonde. How I became that you may ask...

Man, I was on a role up until my finger barely hit a button on the side of Willy's mouse that execuse the close window instantly button. Anyway, so Meghan, Cindy, Austen, Willy, and I went downtown today to get tickets for a Saturday show of Matrix Revolutions. One argument that I'm not a blonde is that I knew my way around while the others didn't. So it was off to Madonna Rd where we split to Ralphs and Best Buys. So, that dreadful bus trip home set the blonde moment. So I was the first one to get on the bus and I swiped my card and the blonde bus driver said that the bus was full. So, my mind was somewhere else at that moment because I looked at the two passengers on board and for some reason because she said it was full, I immediately got off the bus. So, that made my friend's and the bus driver's night.

Turns out, she always like teasing her passengers. She's one of those take no bullshit type people. She shared her stories of some of the strangest people that she had to drive and how she made them believe that they were going to Knot's Berry Farm when they asked her where the bus was going. With all that, we all suggested that we get her a video camera so that for one day, we ride with her and videotape all the strange people that ride the bus. The bus driver was pretty awesome.

So, back to Cal Poly, and we did 5-way cuthroat at the arcades. It's pretty interesting, yet with so many people playing it, you just don't feel like you got enough playtime. With two quarters, Cisco and I battled on Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and I'm getting a bit better at it, I just need to work the combos and stuff. Then, Cisco and I played raquetball, and my knees are getting pretty bruised, but I love the game.

That's basically it, I can't wait to see Matrix Revolutions tomorrow...

Friday, November 07, 2003

Pretty much I'm done for the week. Pretty much on Willy's blog has about everything that I did on Wednesday. The Jay Leno performance was just too hilarious. The material has some of his late night aspects, but most of the night he had original material about the truths of life. "The best way for the U.S. to kill Osama Bin Laden is to send Anna Nicole to marry him and he'd be dead in a week."

Afterwards, we tried to get Leno's autograph, but basically Willy and I were just standing a few feet from him. Too bad Willy didn't have his digital camera. We jetted over to VG's to stock up on Sierra Mists. The reason is all expressed in Willy's blog also.

That's what happens if I don't update for at least two days.

Yesterday, pretty much Willy and I were downloading movies from Ebaum's World and all pyromaniacs like myself need to do this video one day. Plus check out a lot of the other videos there...there was a rare Jackass footage too.

Everyday's a new day in Math class. So, one guy brought a Barbie doll that had the mullet hair style. (shaking head)

Where are you Cisco? Man, we got to do something right now...

Wednesday, November 05, 2003

Alright, I survived Bio Lab hell midterm. The questions were all discussed or I remembered what lab they came from. Did I answer them right though...no...I'm praying that I did well. But, it was just so much material to go over and it was just though coming up with the terms out of your ass.

Anyway, I got actual homework to do tonight. I slept through my bio lecture class today, I needed as much sleep for the Bio Lab test. Well, I'm going to back stage now, going to watch Jay Leno tonight...

Tuesday, November 04, 2003

Everyone's in class right now. It sucks, I wished that I could have a chat with someone before I pour on again in my Bio Lab crap. (sigh...) This is the test that I absolutely have to do good on. I'm so nervous right now...fuck...

Anyway, stick a bunch of different personalities and a pretty normal, carefree teacher in English and it's just an hour of nonstop laughing. So, yeah, even though we didn't really learn much, we still had a quiz to do and Wilkinson actually lectured on the last 7 minutes of class. So, my head still had to think, which wasn't really a good break hour or anything. I'm going to hit the books again, probably study until 7 until somebody comes home.

Sentimentality....

I don't really know what to say right now. I got to study Bio Lab...it's the end of me...

Monday, November 03, 2003

Ah yes, good times with Lladira

One of the better pictures I thought...

My hair was pretty jacked up from the rain and stuff, so the darkness covered how bad it was. But yeah, I missed Lladira, so it was fun to hang out with her. Air Pistols shot inside Willy's house, glorious...So, that's pretty much one of those times where I'll be home, I won't be going home in a while until Thanksgiving. All day today I've been thinking about if I should or shouldn't do something and it involves from December to early January. Well, I'll try to explain later...I'm procrastinating...

Damn internet, it keeps on being up and down all day...

Just eating lunch right now, don't really want to do an update just yet. I got two more classes to go, and a Bio Lab 2nd midterm coming up on Wednesday. Christ...

Saturday, November 01, 2003

It's pretty much a studying Saturday, I'll post something later on...

Starfox0064x: but, plan of action is to wear it all day

Starfox0064x: all the way home
